Tumour markers or Cancer Antigens are useful in identifying and monitoring cancerous tumours.
Private blood testing for cancer. A raised level of Cancer antigens, in conjunction with physical symptoms, and diagnostic imagery can confirm the presence of cancer and monitor its progress or remission. A high level of a specific cancer antigen on its own is not in any way confirmation of cancer.
