Inclusions: DRVV, DRVV RATIO, PROTHROMBIN TIME, APT AND FIBRINOGEN
Special Instructions: Send to lab immediately. Sample should be separated and frozen within two hours of being taken. If a delay is expected with transportation to the laboratory samples must be transported frozen. Contact the laboratory for special sample tubes/containers/kit and/or instructions., If collecting using Butterfly system discard initial blue bottle., If possible it is preferable to collect blood WITHOUT using tourniquet. Citrate (Blue bottles) MUST always be taken before other coloured bottles and filled to the line. Careful collection using nineteen guage needle. Sample should be processed within one hour of collection.
Attendance Restrictions: A morning Monday - Thursday appointment is required. Please do not bleed the patient outside of these times.
