This blood test measures the amount (level) of Vitamin B in the blood. Vitamin B is vital for central nervous system to function normal and the formation of RBC (red blood cells). Vitamin B assists in metabolising fat and protein and converting the food consumed into fuel (energy) for the body. All B vitamins are water-soluble. Also known as thiamine, like B2 this vitamin helps in the processes of digestion and also to ensure a well functioning nervous system. A balanced diet should provide ample B1.

Special Instructions: Protect from light, Minimum of 2ml. Store at 4oC for up to 6 hours, then at -20oC, transport frozen. Wrap completely in foil and transport to lab immediately.
